JANUAR 16, 2026 – Koh Phangan, Thailand

Hello 2026 – and a happy NEW YEAR to you! We’ve been lazy with updating this website and our social media channels. Actually we were on holidays and still are. Taking a break from non stop exploring and recharging our batteries. This we do right now on the island Koh Phangan. Yes, we made it to Thailand, another crazy step further east (and south). How crazy it is it’s already 2026 and we are exactly 1.5 years on the road, can’t believe it – but to be honest it feels even longer to us. More updates very soon!

NOVEMBER 15, 2025 – Nong Khiaw, Laos

A few days in and we’re already in love with Laos. It feels completely different from anywhere we’ve been. Calm, green, and wildly beautiful. We’d been looking forward to this for so long, and it’s everything we hoped for. Nong Khiaw was our first stop, a small village in the north where we camped deep in the jungle, surrounded by nothing but nature. Pure, simple living. We also took a boat along the Nam Ou River to Muang Ngoy and hiked up through the jungle for a view over the valley. Laos, what a place!

NOVEMBER 11, 2025 – Boten Border, Laos

This is it – we’ve made it to Laos! After almost one and a half year on the road, we’ve officially crossed into Southeast Asia. What a wild, intense, and amazing ride is has been to get here. Now a new chapter starts. We’re beyond excited to explore Laos over the next month. Slow roads, jungle vibes and tropical heat. Let’s go!

OCTOBER 18, 2025 – Taklamakan Desert, China

We crossed through Taklamakan Desert. its name in Uygur means “if you go in, you won’t come out.” Luckily, we did. We did not expect this to be honest but we love this kind of landscapes. It took us two days to cross. Adventure China is officially on!

OCTOBER 13, 2025 – Khunjerab-Pass, China

Ni hao China! We crossed the Khunjerab Pass into China, one of the world’s highest international border at 4693m. It was one of the most time-consuming border process of our journey so far. More than 10 hours of waiting for documents and permits, unloading our car several times, and going through x-ray. What a wild experience.  Another country, another adventure begins. We are super excited!

OCTOBER 4, 2025 – COLD DESERT, SKARDU

Since leaving Switzerland, we’ve driven through many countries and landscapes, each one stunning in it’s own. And yet, every time, we’ve been surprised again bay the raw, untouched beauty this world holds. The Sarfaranga Desert is one of those places that really amazed us. A cold desert, where vast sand dunes rise between snow-capped peaks. Sitting at over 2200 meters, it’s one of the highest deserts on Earth. What a place!

SEPTEMBER 12, 2025 – LAHORE, PAKISTAN

We made it to Lahore and spent a few days in this buzzing city. It’s loud, full of life, and there’s always something going on. We visited the Badshahi Mosque, which is just as impressive as we imagined, then walked through Dehli Gate and wandered the old city streets. It’s easy to get lost here — in the best way. Lahore has a certain energy, a bit overwhelming at times, but also kind and warm.

SEPTEMBER 5, 2025 – PAKISTAN MONUMENT

We’ve been back in Islamabad for a few days now and took the opportunity to explore some of the city’s highlights, including the Pakistan Monument. It was built to honor the sacrifices made for Pakistan’s independence. Quite impressive! Petal Symbolism – the larger petals represent Pakistan’s major cultural regions: Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Paktunkhwa. The smaller petals honor Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and the former Tribal Areas. Symbolizing unity, strength, and national pride.

AUGUST 23, 2025 – NANGA PARBAT BASE CAMP

We made it to Nanga Parbat Base Camp after a tough two-day hike: first day hit us with a 700m incline and brutal heat all the way to Fairy Meadows, second day pushed another 800m up to Nanga Parbat Base Camp. Bonus challenge: unexpected glacier crossing. And just when we thought we were done — rain and hail on the way back. Still, standing beneath the “Killer Mountain”, was something else — raw, massive, unforgettable.

AUGUST 10, 2025 – RAKAPOSHI BASE CAMP TREK

One more beautiful yet intense two-day hike done. Why though? Mainly cause of the brutal heat … oh, and let’s not forget about the 1700-meter incline. Views were epic but the heat was really challenging. Note to ourself: never ever start a hike that late. But we made it, reached Rakaposhi Basecamp and enjoyed the view over Minapin Glacier, which lies at the base of Rakaposhi (7788m) and Diran Peak (7266m), two of the most epic mountains in the Karakoram Range.

AUGUST 2, 2025 – NALTAR VALLEY, PAKISTAN

Another remote gem in northern Pakistan — only reachable by 4×4. Sounded like our kind of adventure. We took the Landy deep into the pine forests, alpine meadows and glacier-fed streams – surrounded by the towering Karakoram Peaks. This is Naltar Valley. We camped beside mirror-like alpine lakes, went for an ice cold dip, and lit campfires under a sky full of stars. Pure solitude. Full Naltar trip story coming soon!

JULY 22, 2025 – PATUNDAS TREK, PAKISTAN

Spent the last three days deep in the Hunza mountains completing the Patundas Trek – one of the most epic hikes we’ve done so far. Climbed from 2800m to 4400m in just two days. Crossed one blinding white glacier. Camped up on Patundas Meadow at 4200m – sandwiched between the massive Passu and Batura Glaciers. 360° views of the Passu Cones, endless ice, and towering 7000m peaks. It honestly felt like hiking through another planet. Full Patundas story coming soon!

JULY 19, 2025 – PASSU, PAKISTAN

Passu Cones 6106 – Our favorite mountains in the upper Hunza Valley in northern Pakistan and for sure our favorite Camp spot. You wake up, unzip the tent, and boom – there they are: those surreal peaks of the Passu Cones piercing the sky like a row of stone flames. Damn, how much we love this spot! Definitely back where we belong – fire lit, the wild, soul breathing. Feels like we we parked on the edge of a postcard, but it’s real ッ

JULY 16, 2025 – RUSH LAKE TREK, PAKISTAN

Just got back from spending four days up in the mountains completing one of Pakistan’s most beautiful yet TOUGHEST treks – Climbing from 2700m to 4700m in 2 days. 3 Glacier crossings. 1 freezing river crossing. And a night spent beside one of the highest alpine lakes in the world. Stay tuned for the Rush Lake Trek Story!

JULY 5, 2025 – KARIMABAD, PAKISTAN

We gave ourselves a little treat with a few nights at the beautiful Moose Chalets — the perfect spot to unwind and reflect on everything we’ve experienced over the past few weeks. We wandered through Karimabad, enjoyed some local food, and sipped excellent V60 coffee at Bean Box. Soon some big hikes are coming up and after we’ll be back camping in the wild. Until then, we’re soaking in the stunning view of Rakaposhi right from our chalet.

JULY 1 2025 – HUNZA VALLEY, PAKISTAN

What a ride it’s been, but now we here where planned to be one year ago – in northern Pakistan. Feels completely different than Islamabad, such a different vibe. But we thought we gonna escape the heat from Islamabad and get some fresh mountain breeze. But no. It’s damn hot, and this on 2500m above sea level. We take a break now from driving, go on hikes and try to digest what we’ve experienced in one year traveling.

JUNE 26 2025 – ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN

1 YEAR ON THE ROAD – 17 countries, 40,000 km, and 365 days in 3m². We’ve met strangers who became friends, felt at home in the most unexpected places, and discovered more about the world — and ourselves — than we ever imagined.But it’s not all sunshine and sunsets. Travel means feeling. Deeply. Fully. Constantly. And lately, it’s been intense. Mentally tough. So, We’re heading to the north of Pakistan, where we’re going to take a deep breath. Get some fresh air, quiet hikes, and space to digest and recharge.

JUNE 20, 2025 – JALALABAD, AFGHANISTAN

Afghanistan was a pretty wild trip – but a good one for sure! This country surprised us on many levels. And once again, we were lucky to meet incredible people, who shared with us the real Afghanistan – a place FAR DIFFERENT from what’s portrayed in the media. We ventured off the grid into remote corners of the country and discovered some of the most breathtaking places we’ve ever seen. But it was intense, knowing that it can be sketchy in certain places, not knowing exactly where these places are.

JUNE 16 2025 – HERAT, AFGHANISTAN

Arrived in Herat, Afghanistan. Finally. What a hell of a border crossing we had. We thought we never gonna make it or end up in prison. Until we reached the border of Iran and Afghanistan we already faced many checkpoints including car searches. But at the border they took us apart – for 6 hours. We understand the current situation, it’s a upcoming war – but still, what’s the point treating two travelers like real bad criminals? But now we are here and it’s a release, this city has such a calm vibe and we already love it.
