After spending many days in the beautiful city of Shiraz we really had to urge to get back out into the wild, out into nature and adventure. City life is just too hectic and since we couldn't camp in the city were also looking forward to sleep in our Landy Boy – it's just too comfortable. So this canyon sounded once more very promising. We had to check it out and it was worth it (yes, again): Stunning cliffs, a winding river, dramatic views and an EPIC camp spot. We haven’t been at the Grand Canyon in the States, but this canyon in Iran is for sure breathtaking too. And f*9(n cold at night ...

But first we had to get there. And this journey was another adventure. Let's say a Google Maps Adventure. It happened already many times that Google lead us into dead ends but this time it was different. Of course we are always keen for a little off-road detour, but this one was too challenging for us and we didn't wanna risk it.

pure enjoyment and the sense of freedom looking into the valley

Standing on the top of those steep cliffs gave us goosebumps. YES, you must feel it! And the view of this raw and untouched beauty was like wow, wow, wow! So we enjoyed it with another alcohol free beer – our favourite drink in Iran next to Chai.

A Hidden Gem

Haigher Valley is another hidden gem in Iran’s natural landscape we highly recommend to visit. Like Really.
