SALEM ALEIKUM MIDDLE EAST
A city, a desert and probably the most amazing hospitality and generosity we've ever experienced – welcome to KUWAIT, our first country in the Middle East. We planned to stay here for three days and ended up staying for two weeks exploring deeply rooted Bedouin traditions, islamic values and a modern city with a striking skyline. All of it we did for sure not expect.
Not our favorite terrain, but still nice.
After a 12-hour drive, crossing the border from Iran through Iraq, and finally arriving in Kuwait, we were greeted with the warmest welcome imaginable. Noawf, who helped us with the border paperwork, invited us to his farm after such a long day. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family, with traditional homemade food and hospitality that made us feel right at home.
The warmest welcome on a farm – EVER! 🙂

Tonights dinner: pigeon from the farm.
Cool? Cool.
The traditional Kuwaiti outfit for men includes the dishdasha, keffiyeh, and agal. The dishdasha is a long, loose-fitting robe worn for daily and formal occasions, offering comfort and modesty. The keffiyeh, a headscarf, provides protection from the sun and is often worn in a white or checkered design. The agal is a black cord used to secure the keffiyeh in place, completing the look. Together, these garments reflect cultural heritage and pride in Kuwaiti tradition.

Golden hour.
And us 🙂
Guess what? Yep, there are FLAMINGOS at the coast of Kuwait City.
Boosted and fixed
The team at SOLID PROJECTS hooked us up with some real GOOD upgrades we hadn’t planned for. They rebuilt our outdoor kitchen, fixed the extendable table at the rear door, installed new lights, and took care of a few other small but important touches. And of course, we also had to take care of the usual maintenance – oil changes, new diesel filter, and all the other essentials to keep our Landy running smoothly.
Boys being boys.
After all the updates we needed some help with new bushes, fixing our problem with the driver door lock. Chaldun from IGNITE helped us with all the matters.
DIRTY oil is BAD oil. Can you see how DIRTY it is? This is what a country with bad diesel causes.
En route to the dunes
Our Kuwaiti friends showed us what real desert life is all about: Gathering with friends, campfires and driving like a maniac over sand dunes. They spend almost every winter weekend in the desert, and we joined one of them – and we enjoyed it a lot. Good food, good vibes, amazing people and a real good sunset.

Our favorite time of the day – the end of an adventure and the beginning of a new one.
Orange haze, perfect days!
Sunset Drifter. These guys are INSANE.
With 80 km/h through the desert? No problem! They took us on a wild buggy ride through the sand dunes — stomachs are still flying just watching this video!ッ
THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE
SEE YOU ON THE ROAD
