In the deep heart of the UAE’s deserts, roads are not carved — they are dared. The asphalt stretches defiantly across an ocean of sand, a dark line drawn through gold. But when you drive through it, it feels like the dunes are alive. Every meter they are different, they shift with the breath of the wind, like silent waves to reclaim what was never truly taken.
It’s like driving through a dream with no clear beginning or end.
Abandoned roads that don’t belong there, a ghost town that was never built but the roads. Roads signs standing lonely next to what’s left of a side walk, almost fully covered in sand.
Golden sand dunes roll across the horizon — constantly reshaped by the wind. The colors shift throughout the day, from soft beige to fiery orange at sunset. We drove, and the horizon trembled with the heat. We could see it, and feel it.
Amazing to withness, fun to drive and fully covered in sand ッ
Somehow scary to see even if it’s just a road covered in sand. But another proof that nature always wins.
