En route to Wadi Disah
The further we drove into the Tabuk region of northwestern Saudi Arabia, the more the landscape turned into something out of another world. The highway cut through wide-open desert plains, then suddenly, colossal sandstone cliffs began to rise on both sides of the road. From pale gold to deep rust, under a sky so clear it felt endless. Driving on routes like this never gets bored ...
Some stretches were so surreal they made you slow down, just to take it all in. Massive rock spires stood like sentinels, while narrow canyons revealed hidden layers of history in their striations. There’s a raw, untouched feeling here, most of the time we've been driving on the road alone, no other car, just the hum of our engines and the wind outside the window.
"THROUGH MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS, ACROSS RIVERS AND PLAINS – THE TRAIL WILL TEST US, BUT WE RIDE ON."
Halfway to Wadi Al Disah, we took a short break at Darbah Viewpoint, perched high above a sweeping valley. The view was staggering – the kind that makes you feel small in the best way. From up there, the desert opened into a panorama of mountains, sand, and shadow. You could trace the winding road far into the distance, knowing it would eventually lead to the lush oasis of Wadi Al Disah.
Soaking in FREEDOM.
PURE enjoyment.
Soaking in FREEDOM the both of us.
Almost reached Wadi Disah. Super excited to get in there …
