Two years ago, we left Switzerland in our Land Rover Defender without a clear route or final destination. Now we’re looking back at 60’337 kilometres, 22 countries, 23 border crossings and 640 nights spent inside our little home on wheels.

We didn't plan that.

The numbers are almost impossible to grasp. But they only tell a small part of the story.

They don’t show the endless daily decisions, the nights we slept in places we didn’t even know existed. They don’t show the strangers who invited us in for tea, the mechanics who kept our Landy moving, the mornings when we opened the door to an unbelievable view or the feeling of crossing another border into a completely unknown world.

This journey was not a holiday. It became our everyday life. Some days felt like total freedom. Some days were exhausting, or lonely, or hard in ways we didn’t expect. But most of the time, it was so good that we genuinely never want it to end 🖤

We never planned to drive all the way from Switzerland to Malaysia. We just kept going. One road, one border, one small decision at a time. And somehow, two years later, we made it there.

The route from June 2024 to June 2026: Switzerland – Italy – Slovenia – Croatia – Albania – Montenegro – Greece – Türkiye – Georgia – Türkiye – Iran – Iraq – Kuwait – Saudi Arabia – Oman – United Arab Emirates – Saudi Arabia – Kuwait – Iraq – Iran – Afghanistan – Pakistan – China – Laos – Thailand – Malaysia.

And in these countries we flew by plane: India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia.

Thank you for being part of it, for following along, cheering us on, and sometimes worrying about us more than we did ッ We can’t wait to take you along on the next continent.

See you in AFRICA
