MARAYA CONCERT HALL IN AL ULA, SAUDI ARABIA
Maraya means mirror in Arabic. And true to its name, the building (Maraya Concert Hall) is covered in mirrored panels, creating a mesmerizing optical illusion where the building nearly disappears into its surroundings – THE DESERT. Really feels like it’s some science fiction stuff standing in front of it.
We didn’t have a big mirror for a looong time, so we had to do a little photo shoot of our selves – and standing in front of the mirrored walls was quite impressing, so we took a lot of photos ッ
That was also a little delusional.
When perspectives seem to be wrong.
We like remote wild places more, but this building was worth the trouble to get to see it. Tickets are required to enter the area, so you must book a table in any of the restaurants close by – which are pretty expensive. Thanks again friends who helped us getting in without ッ
We could gaze at these images forever – it feels so unreal.
