SOLITUDE IN PORTO NOVO
Where the fuck is Porto Novo? Portugal? Spain? Or maybe Italy? But no, it's in Albania. How much brain food we got while traveling, discovering new places that somehow do not match with our imagination about where they actually are located. Anyways, Porto Novo, a charming coastal village in the southwestern part of Albania is one of those places that do not sound like they were in Albania. And we never heard about it before. But high cliffs, sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters sounds like a perfect place to set our camp.
Solitude.
Epic spot and epic wine: We had a bottle of Chamonix Pinot Noir which we brought from our trip in Namibia and we saved it for an EPIC EVENING.
So we camped on this epic cliff (which was actually forbidden a local told us the second night – sorry for that, we did not read anything about that) had an epic wine, dinner, sunset and early morning – how much more epic can we get? – doesn't sound so epic to you maybe, but there were flamingos flying by! Have you ever seen flamingos at the sky? Probably not, we neither. So once more EPIC!
These are FLAMINGOS, can’t you seeeee? 🙂
FLAMINGOS
Truly excited about that we made our way off the cliff towards our next destination. And than we found them, all of them, hundreds of them. Not too far away from us, standing around in the Narta Lagoon, searching for food.
FLAMINGOS.
More FLAMINGOS.
Funny FLAMINGOS.
SO, THAT WAS IT – A FLAMINGO GOODBYE TO YOU.
Thanks for the read and see you on the road!
